Men’s soccer continued their undefeated streak Saturday against Hardin-Simmons (1-3-1) with a 1-1 tie, bringing the team’s record to 5-0-1.

The scores took place in the first half within five minutes of each other.  First-year Rigoberto Loreto scored the Lutes’ lone goal with an assist from senior midfielder Joe Olenginski.  PLU keeper Joe Rayburn had three saves in the game.

Both teams wound up with multiple yellow cards, 3 for PLU players, 2 for the Cowboys, and 1 for the whole Hardin-Simmons team.

The Lutes travel to Newberg, Ore. Saturday to take on George Fox University in their first conference game, and the next home game will be September 28 against Linfield.
