A car stuck three pedestrians as they were crossing the street at the intersection of Garfield Street and C Street at around 7 p.m. Friday evening, deputy James Cowan of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said. None of the three were Pacific Lutheran students.

The pedestrians were on the crosswalk when the car struck them, Cowan said. All three were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. None were seriously hurt. It is not yet known whether the pedestrians were jaywalking or the car ran a red light. Stay tuned for updates on this story as more information becomes available.
