“Rebel Heart” – Madonna

The ‘80s are long over, but Madonna won’t dare let us forget. The 80’s pop idol released her thirteenth studio album titled “Rebel Heart” March 10, eliciting a long sigh from me and everyone else who would appreciate it if she’d just stop. It was fun being a Madonna fan while Madonna was relevant, but leg warmers and tutu skirts died 20 years ago. It’s time for stars like Rihanna and Lady Gaga to rule the pop scene, but Madonna just keeps edging her way in one forgetful album at a time. It’s one thing to come out of retirement, but it doesn’t work if you never retired in the first place. No one can miss you if you don’t go away. The original and deluxe versions of Madonna’s wildy unnecessary “Rebel Heart” can be streamed via Spotify and are available for purchase on ITunes. I doubt you’re interested.

“[Untitled]” – Kendrick Lamar

It’s been established that rap is not my thing. I’m not even sure who Kendrick Lamar is, but his unreleased album is currently ranked #4 on ITunes’ Top Albums list. ITunes doesn’t even have the names of the tracks listed, but somehow “[Untitled]” is the fourth most purchased record. I’m not even sure if “[Untitled]” is the name of the album or just a placeholder for the unknown title. What is obvious is that Kendrick Lamar’s sophomore album is in high demand. “[Untitled]” is set to drop March 23 and is now available for pre-order on ITunes.

“Believe” – Mumford & Sons

After the announcement of their new album “Wilder Mind”, Mumford & Sons has given fans a taste of what to expect. “Believe”, released March 9, is nothing less than Mumford’s usual music excellence. The boys have definitely moved on from their traditional folk sound, but the depth and beauty of their music is just the same. “Believe” offers poetic lyrics paired with a sharper, heavier guitar and the same old steady beat you’ll wanna clap your hands to. Fans skeptic of the band’s new sound will be pleased to hear remnants of the old Mumford & Sons mixed with the interesting elements of the new. “Believe” is available for purchase on ITunes and streaming via Spotify.
