On the first episode of Mast Radio: Sports Talk, Christian Bond, Kellen Westering and Drew Ardissone highlight the seasons of both men’s and women’s basketball, PLU swimming, and talk about the attitude of Cam Newton.
The 2015-16 season was one of the best in PLU Men’s Basketball history. The team finished with a 16-7 record, accumulating the most wins since the 1997-98 season. The boys talk about close wins over Pacific, as well as a weird finish that took place in a game against Lewis & Clark. The show took place just hours before Brandon Lester scored his 1,000 career point in a Lute uniform. Kellen and Drew tell you what makes Lester so effective.
PLU Women’s Basketball improved greatly in 2015-16 season. The team nearly doubled their win total from the previous season. Christian, Drew and Kellen recap a pair of wins over Pacific as well as Lewis & Clark.
PLU Women’s Swimming had a fantastic weekend at the Northwest Conference Championship meet.
Kellen Westering wrote an article for the Mast regarding Cam Newton’s attitude post Super Bowl 50. Kellen and Drew discuss what it means to be a leader as a professional athlete.
