This year, Mast MediaĀ and Lute Air Student Radio embarked on a partnership on a series of live music shows called Sunday Sesh, inviting our fellow Lutes into the studio to give us a live performance and candid interviews. We ended that series this year with graduating senior Denae McGaha.
We started the show from another fellow Lute, Asia B. Wolfe, with her song Feelin’s. Then we welcomed Denae McGaha into the studio, where she and Asia performed a cover of Labyrinth’s Jealous.
We talked with Denae about her excitements (and fears) of graduating, performing at LalaPLUza (including hearing her rendition of The Procliamer’s 500 Miles), her study away travels, and finding her faith in Jesus Christ during her time at PLU.
Denae also performed her original songs You Choose Me Anyways,Ā Edges, andĀ Indian Food on a Doorstep in Rainy Copenhagen. Ā She closed out the show with a cover of Kelly Clarkson’sĀ Breakaway, and dedicated that to the PLU Class of 2016.
