2/1 Facilities Dumpster Fire

Date: Wednesday, February 1, 2017
Time: 1:39 PM
Location: Facilities Management, Recycling Container
Description: Campus Safety and Central Pierce Fire & Rescue responded to a dumpster fire adjacent to the Facilities compound. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Central Pierce Fire & Rescue extinguished the fire. There were no injuries and damage was confined to the container.

 

2/3 South Hall Drug Violation

Time: 12:45 AM
Location: South Hall, Apartment [redacted]
Description: During a walk-through of South Hall, Campus Safety officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from Room [redacted]. Officers contacted the Community Assistant on-duty for assistance. They contacted the resident and conducted a room search. Two baggies containing 8 marijuana cigarettes were found in the pockets of a sweatshirt the student was wearing. A further room search disclosed rolling papers and a grinder. The contraband was disposed of by Campus Safety. This incident was referred to Student Rights & Responsibilities.

 

2/5 Golf Course Vehicle Trespass

Time: 11:15 PM
Location: Disc Golf Course
Description: While on patrol, Campus Safety officers observed two vehicles drive through the Ivy parking lot out to the disc golf course area. The two vehicles were stopped and the occupants (students) were contacted. One student was argumentative with the officers and initially refused to provide information. The students stated they didn’t think that driving on the golf course was prohibited. This incident has been forwarded to Student Rights & Responsibilities for review.

 

2/5 Pflueger Weapon Violation

Date: Sunday, February 5, 2017
Time: 9:15 PM
Location: Pflueger Residence Hall
Description: While on routine patrol, Campus Safety officers conducted a room search due to evidence of a possible alcohol/drug policy violation. During the course of the search, an 8-inch knife was confiscated. The knife was placed in Campus Safety lockup until the student can store it off-campus. No other policy violations were found. This incident has been forwarded to Student Rights & Responsibilities for review.
