4/19 University Center Theft

Location: Anderson University Center
Description:Â A staff member reported that her wallet was stolen from her office in the Anderson University Center. She had left her office unlocked and unattended for approximately 5 minutes at 8:25 AM while completing a task. Later, she discovered that her wallet was gone.
4/19 Kreidler Wellness Check

Location: Kreidler Residence Hall
Description:Â Campus Safety received a report from the Kreidler front desk worker that they overheard a student state she was depressed. Campus Safety officers contacted the student for a wellness check. The student expressed she was feeling depressed about school but was not a danger to herself. She was provided on-campus resource information. The Community Assistant with Additional Duties was advised.
4/20 Tingelstad Medical Aid

Location: Tingelstad Residence Hall
Description:Â Campus Safety officers responded to a medical aid call for a resident of Tingelstad Residence Hall who reported experiencing persistent chest pain that made it hard for her to breathe. Campus Safety officers requested Central Pierce Fire & Rescue assistance for further evaluation. Emergency Medical Technicians arrived, assessed, and determined that transport to the Emergency Department was not necessary. EMTs urged the student to seek primary care assistance when able.
4/20 Ingram Theft

Location: Ingram Hall, Outdoor Gate 18
Description:Â A professor in Ingram Hall reported that the padlock on Gate 18, leading into the outdoor kiln yard at Ingram, had been cut. A blow torch and a pair of gloves totaling $60 in value were taken. Campus Safety officers reviewed video footage of the area between 5:00 PM on April 19th and 8:35 AM on April 20th. Footage of potential subjects were seen prowling around at 4:55 AM that morning.
4/20 Stuen Drug Violation

Location: Stuen Residence Hall
Description:Â Campus Safety officer assisted the Resident Assistant on duty in Stuen Residence Hall with an odor of marijuana investigation. A strong smell of marijuana was coming from a residence hall room. There was no answer at the door but the resident returned shortly afterwards. A student-led room search was performed and marijuana was recovered. All contraband was confiscated and destroyed. This incident has been forwarded to PLU Student Rights & Responsibilites for review.
4/20 125th St. Vehicle Prowl

Description:Â Campus Safety officers discovered a vehicle, belonging to a student, had been broken-into while parked on 125th Street South near the ReDesign House. A pair of shoes and other miscellaneous items were taken from the vehicle.
4/21 Olson Medical Aid

Location: Olson Auditorium, Field House (Room 123)
Description:Â A student sustained a minor ankle injury while playing soccer in the Olson Field House. Campus Safety officers responded and provided him with a cold-pack. He declined Central Pierce Fire & Rescue and stated that his ankle was feeling better.

Location: Health Center Parking Lot, East Hauge Parking Lot, Upper Campus west of Mortvedt Library, 121st Street South, Park Avenue South
Description: On Saturday, April 22, at approximately 12:10 AM, there was a high-speed vehicle pursuit involving one vehicle and at least two suspects pursued by several Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputies. The vehicle entered the Health Center Parking Lot at a high rate of speed and collided with a concrete curb. An occupant of the vehicle ran across 121st Street South into East Hauge Parking Lot and onto campus west of the Mortvedt Library, where a foot pursuit ensued. At least two suspects were eventually detained by Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputies. During this time, there were several people outdoors on upper campus who were involved with the Relay for Life event, as well as several students in the area going to miscellaneous gatherings. Campus Safety never activated PLU Alert for this incident and has not released any report or statement on this incident as of now. Mast Media has submitted a Public Records Request with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department to learn more about this incident and will provide updated information as it is received.
4/23 Hinderlie Medical Aid

Location: Hinderlie Residence Hall
Description:Â Campus Safety officers responded to Hinderlie Residence Hall to assist a student after he had fainted as he exited a restroom. The student suffered a cut to his lip, however he declined Central Pierce Fire & Rescue. A fellow student provided him with transportation to St. Claire Hospital to get treatment for his cut lip.
4/24 Yakima Lot Property Damage

Location: Yakima Parking Lot, Northern Fence
Description:Â Campus Safety officers observed a portion of the Yakima Parking Lot fence had fallen. A review of camera footage revealed that it fell on April 19th, apparently due to windy conditions.
