It was reported on Saturday that New England Patriots starting quarterback Cam Newton has tested positive for Covid-19, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Field Yates. Newton will be out for the Patriots’ Week 4 game against the Chiefs.

Newton is the most recent positive test that the National Football League (NFL) has seen in the past week, as the Tennessee Titans also revealed that eight players and eight team personnel have tested positive.

The Titans played the Minnesota Vikings last week, but the Vikings have recorded no positive cases, so they were still able to play their game against the Houston Texans today.

As for the Titans and the Patriots, the Titans game against the Steelers that was supposed to happen today has been rescheduled for Week 7 of the season on Sunday, October 25. Both the Steelers and the Titans will have their bye week shifted to this week.

The Patriots and Chiefs game that was also supposed to happen today has been rescheduled to Monday after positive tests on both the Patriots and Chiefs.
