The glass shards from totalled cars and rubble of the caved-in brick wall now lay in the wake of a fallen tree toppled during a storm last night. Wind speeds between 11-12 mph throughout the night caused extensive damage when one of the trees outside of the  Students Of Color wing of Ordal Hall fell last night leaving extensive damage in its wake. One vehicle parked on 121st Street S north of Ordal and the Kiln area of Ingram Hall sat crushed and in shambles.

Around 6:15 am, Campus Safety notified students of the incident and quickly removed the fallen tree from the road in the following hours. Campus Safety blocked through traffic onto 121st Street S until the tree removal was completed in the following hours between 8 am-10 am. The sidewalk alongside Ingram Hall and a portion of the trail behind Ordal is also blocked off by the remaining tree shrubs.

No injuries or harm to persons were reported at this time. The PLU Community Garden,  located across the street from the fallen tree has survived the stormy weather of the past two days!
