Meet Finnegan “Finn” Flannery Devine Jonhson! Finn is a four-year-old miniature Schnauzer belonging to plus-year student and Mast Deputy Editor-in-Chief Josiah Devine Johnson, making him the newest Mast office dog bringing us joy on long editing weekends and late print nights.
Coming from a farm, the transition has been challenging for Finn, but Parkland has quickly become his new home. Finn’s fans know him to be full of energy, curiosity, and wonder. Josiah, his biggest fan, would like you to know that Finn considers himself to be an old man who prefers to sleep on his back and eat food cut up into tiny pieces.
Finn is an absolute sweetheart, always looking for snuggles and kisses from the entire Mast staff. He can often be found lying down next to Josiah or sitting by the door when he’s away.
About Finn, Josiah said “I love the little guy. He’s a constant friend, a worthy opponent to any aggressor, and ready to deliver a friendly hug or fatal blow to whatever squirrel passes his path—I suppose that’s the farm in him. He’s a righteous little bugger.”
Should you come across Finn in the wild be sure to say “hello,” and ask permission to pet him before providing the attention he so desperately seeks and deserves at all moments of his life.
