Meet Seneca Rose! Seneca is a six-year-old pitbull mix belonging to PLU senior admission counselor Shaun Antrim. How they found each other was a spectacular series of lucky coincidences.

A stray in rural South Carolina, Seneca was hit by a car, saved, and then sent to a rescue up North. The driver of the van she was in was arrested in Baltimore—leaving her stuck in an overcrowded shelter. She was outsourced to a rescue in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania where Shaun and his partner found her on a camping trip.

Her shelter name was just Rose and it remained so until Seneca’s first vacation with her new parents to Seneca Lake and Falls, NY for the 100 year anniversary of women’s right to vote. Like her owner, she loves the outdoors and since she moved to Washington she particularly enjoys swimming and diving for oyster shells. She’ll swim all day with her doggie life vest or hang out on the stand up paddle board with her people.
