This issue has been a grand ambition and wildest hope of Sarah’s and mine over this summer. We both wanted to start off strong and early – let the campus know that The Mast is back. Aside from that, I was hoping that as Editor-in-Chief I would be able to keep that “thing” that we had last year going this year, too.
The “thing” we had last year was special. The “thing” included all of us putting all our effort together to get The Mast back on its feet. The “thing” was about passion and determination. The “thing” was about new cool people showing up and deciding to stick around – cool people who are part of our upper management team, now. As has been mentioned many times, we created a community – vibrant, caring, and opinionated community.
This semester, I will try my best to make The Mast a space where people want to be and want to improve… themselves and the world around them. Thankfully, I will be doing this with our brilliant upper management team – people who make things happen every single day.
Lastly, thank you to my current team for supporting me, and thank you to our last year team for having faith in me. I am beyond grateful and excited.
