This summer’s movie season was full of many highly-anticipated sequels.
Some of these hit sequels included the famous “Iron Man 3,” the hilarious and cheerful “Despicable Me 2” and the clever end of the “Three Flavours Cornetto” trilogy, “The World’s End.”
Bringing in over $400 million, the cool explosions, acting and arsenal make “Iron Man 3” a movie to remember.
Robert Downey Jr. adds a fun flavor to his role as Iron Man by incorporating a comedic style into this action-packed movie. He is funny at times but serious when people are in danger.
Humor is also a major part of “Despicable Me 2,” a movie that would not be the same without the minions. These little yellow sidekicks are characters filled with fun and curiosity.
Along with the minions, “Despicable Me 2” has a great message behind it — to care about others and appreciate the presence of people who surround you. This summer sequel is meant for a younger audience, but all ages can enjoy this movie.
From the creators of “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz,” the completion of the trilogy has arrived — “The World’s End.”
In the first two films, zombies invade the lives of people in England, but in the third, robots take over.
The film stars a group of friends who have not seen each other in more than 20 years. They meet up in their hometown with the goal of drinking at 12 different pubs. The first few bars are fine, but then weird things start to happen, like the appearance of robots that bleed blue and are nearly indestructible.
The movie may sound strange, but the well-known magazine The Week gave this movie a perfect score — four out of four stars. This is a must-see movie.
Sequels always have a lot of anticipation, and it is always fun to see what happens next in the series. Other sequels to keep an eye out for are “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” “Thor: The Dark World” and “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.” Â Â Â Â
