Late Knight returned for season two earlier this month. On Friday, Nov. 4, host and executive producer sophomore Sam Ellefson (seen in the bottom left corner) welcomed local guests to the Cave for the show.

Members of the Tacoma City Council Marty Campbell and Victoria Woodards and artist Steven Curtis joined Ellefson for discussion, games and music. The guests participated in a “Heads Up” style game along with the crowd.

Late Knight also took a comedic approach to political commentary prior to the election. Going along with that theme, there was a parody of “Cabinet Battle #1” from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical “Hamilton” performed by sophomores Dana Brager and Ben Martin (seen above with Ellefson). They each took on the persona of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump to discuss current political issues over Miranda’s composition.

The episode is available on YouTube and is up for playback immediately after it airs in case you missed it or if you just want to watch it again: youtube.com/MastStudentTV

The next episode of Late Knight airs Dec. 2 at 9 p.m. in The Cave. Watch live on YouTube or join for a free show. Either way, don’t miss it — it will be a Christmas special.
