If you were in Harstad with your windows open this Tuesday night you might have heard the beautiful noises of the PLU trombone class who performed their annual performance on this Trombone Tuesday. As the performers played under the entrance of the Karen Hille Philips building, a small group of dedicated onlookers drew near and stood in the rain admiring the trombone class’s performance of “Jingle Bells” and “Silent Night”, among other Christmas classics.

The informal Christmas concert was conducted by the Lecturer of Trombone Ryan Wagner, who noted that “This is our last Tuesday [of the semester], we call it Trombone Tuesday, we try to come out here and do a little caroling.” Not only were there trombones but also a baritone in the performance. This annual concert is a highlight during dreary dead week.

The holiday spirit was kindled and the performers even cheered for themselves in between songs. All in all a lovely Trombone Tuesday.
