Communication professor Joanne Lisosky was informed that one of her students has received a great honor in the world of collegiate art on Feb. 29. First-year Communication student Bailey Plumb has been selected as a Finalist in the 36th Annual College and High School Photography Contest by Serbin Communications.
The contest is featured in the magazine, “Photographer’s Forum.” Plumb was selected from over 10,000 photographs from students in the United States, Canada and around the world.
The judges included professors from the Rhode Island School of Design, Savannah College of Art and Design and College of the Canyons. Plumb’s work will be seen in the upcoming hardcover book, “Best of College and High School Photography 2016.”
“I am very proud of this accomplishment,” Plumb said. “This is my first contest I have entered my photos in and there were thousands of entries. The award proves to me that I can turn my passion into something more than I expected.
