Christian Bond, Kellen Westering and Drew Ardissone bring you two hours of sports coverage focused on PLU athletics, as well as what is happening professionally in the Pacific Northwest and around the country.
The Best of Mast Radio: Sports Talk Presented by Two and A Half Athletes begins with a discussion that started on twitter earlier in the week. Kellen and Drew discuss who said what and when about the Golden State Warriors.
Scott Westering provided us with one of the best interviews we had all semester. Christian and Kellen revisit the interview.
Another one of our favorite interviews took place at an Applebees in Spokane. Drew Ardissone and his teammates Brandon Lester, Dylan Foreman and Tyson Birrer joined Christian and Kellen by way of phone to discuss what was going on in the Northwest Conference men’s basketball tournament.
Part two of The Best of Mast Radio: Sports Talk Presented by Two and A Half Athletes begins with one of the most serious segments that has ever happened on the show. Lacey Nicholson of PLU Women’s basketball had her own segment called Lacey’s Losers. Men were asked to read mean, hurtful and disgusting tweets directed at female sports writers. Lacey, Christian and Kellen discuss the seriousness of social media as well as the importance of equality and acceptance in all walks of life.
Tough Deals of the week was one of our favorite segments on the show. Christian and Kellen replay Drew Ardissone’s feelings towards paying NCAA athletes and debate whether or not universities should pay their players for their contributions on the field or court.
Finally, Christian and Kellen discuss what their plans are for the three and a half month break until Mast Radio: Sports Talk Presented by Two and A Half Athletes returns in the fall.
