Christian Bond, Kellen Westering and Drew Ardissone bring you two hours of sports coverage focused on PLU athletics, as well as what is happening professionally in the Pacific Northwest and around the country.

In part one of Mast Radio: Sports Talk Presented by Two and a Half Athletes, Christian, Kellen and Drew give details of PLU Baseball’s three-game sweep over Willamette. On Saturday, Brett Johnson was huge in both games of a double header. Sunday belonged to Cole Johnson, who got it done on the mound and with his bat.

PLU Softball battled both the weather and Lewis & Clark in what was scheduled to be a four-game series. The first double header took two days to finish. Drew Ardissone filled us in on all the high stakes drama that took place on the softball diamond. Game three of the series belonged to PLU. Game four was postponed to be played at a later date.

PLU Track and Field opened their season with a meet against the Linfield Wildcats. Christian, Kellen and Drew provide results from the meet.

In part two, the coverage moves to a national scale with Drew Ardissone’s feelings towards paying NCAA Athletes. Christian and Kellen debate whether or not universities should pay their players for their contributions on the field or court.

NFL free agency began this week, and already some faces are in new places. Christian, Kellen and Drew discuss some of the interesting moves, and potential moves made by teams thus far. Seattle Seahawk free agent moves are also discussed.

The show wraps up with Christian’s break down of what makes a successful bullpen in Major League Baseball.
