Have you ever been in a creepy situation where you just have to get out of there as soon as humanly possible? These stories include hightailing and speeding out of some scary encounters with our ghosty friends at PLU, even if it means sacrificing some water for the sake of safety.

Tess Olsson’s partner (thanks for the content, Tess) had a moment with her ghost friend in one of the bathrooms of Harstad:

“Once, when in one of the bathrooms between floors, she was in one of the stalls and heard a towel rack roll across the floor. No one else was in the bathroom, the door hadn’t been opened, no windows were open. “Well,” she thought, “maybe it’s just the weird way Harstad is built,” (which is totally plausible) but then one of the sink faucets turned on, apparently of its own accord. My partner got out of there as fast as she could (probably didn’t stop to turn off the water, smh).”

Elle Campbell (recently graduated) was a theatre tech here at PLU and spent a lot of time with the KHP bathroom ghosts, but this particular instance happened outside of the bathroom:

“I was onstage in Eastvold one time putting down the fire curtain at like 2am (don’t tell Campo). I was THE LAST person there and had just turned off the lights when I heard someone SPRINT across the stage but when I looked there weren’t any footprints (it was a v rainy day so there would have been wet footprints) but there was nothing there… And then where I was standing got incredibly cold super quick and I HIGHTAILED IT.”

Remember the rules in Zombieland? Rule #1 of fighting zombies is cardio. Who knows, maybe that should be the first rule of dealing with ghosts. Stay safe and go for a social distancing run today.
